Community leader of Pinolobu Village Cooperative, leading the protection of Maranggoi Catchment Reserve in Kota Belud, Sabah

Risin Sikin

I am a farmer and father of four from Kampung Pinolobu. Growing up in the beautiful greenery of our community reserve and village garden, I am dedicated to protect these natural resources for our future generations. Welcome to experience the beauty of my home village and forest, and support our effort to conserve these nature wonders.

Check out the most recent trips with Murphy from mysabah.com and with a couple of our patrons.

We may not be rich by most standards, but our natural environment is definitely rich. We will never be starved as long as we have our forest and river conserved – foraging in the nature is like our second nature.
I hope my children can continue to enjoy the beautiful nature that I grew up with.
Enjoying a dinner spread of naturally-grown local produce with my fellow villagers and guests by the Maranggoi River: experience local hill rice, jeruk tuhau (pickled ginger), bosou (fermented fish), salted fish with liposu, terap soup, and unlimited serving of fruits-in-season!
